Chilliwack Plays First Home Games of 2024 Against Prince George and Surrey

The Chilliwack Chiefs kick off their first home games of 2024 against the Prince George Spruce Kings and Surrey Eagles this weekend.

The Chiefs are looking to get back to their winning ways. They dropped the first two of the year on an island road trip last weekend against the Cowichan Valley Capitals and Victoria Grizzlies.

On Friday, Prince George will visit for the first and only time this season. The last matchup on September 29th resulted in a 3-2 Chiefs win in overtime.

This game will feature many NCAA Division I commits, including players who will be teammates in a few years currently on opposing teams. Centreman Jared Langdon on the Spruce Kings is committed to Clarkson University. Defencemen Olivier Beaulieu and Ty Campbell on the Chiefs will also be attending Clarkson. Furthermore, Kazumo Sasaki and Max Ranström will get to know a Chiefs top player, Brady Milburn, at Lake Superior State. Lucas Veilleux is two years older than Chiefs 16-year-old Hudson Wiles, but they are set to become teammates in the future at Colgate University.

Current foes but future friends will be on display this weekend at the Coliseum.

The Chiefs are proud to be putting on Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation Night. Come out and help raise money for Chilliwack General Hospital.

Chilliwack will look to continue their recent strong showings against the number-one team in the Coastal Division. Back on December 16th, the Chiefs stunned the Eagles in overtime. It took a few matchups for the Chiefs to figure out the soaring Eagles, but they have limited them to only six goals in the last three games. It is bound to be an exciting clash between two playoff-hopeful Lower Mainland BCHL teams.

Wear your best pair of boots and join 89.5 JR Country as they partner with the Chiefs to put on Country Night. There will be great prizes, country hits all night long, and even live music from Tony Stevens!

We’re celebrating 2024 with a limited-edition ticket package! You will receive a mug, a coaster set, and two ticket vouchers for only $24 plus tax. The ticket vouchers can be used for the games this weekend. As well, tickets are available anytime online.
