Barry Douglas – Governor & Vice-President, Business Operations
With over 25 years of experience in media and junior hockey, Barry Douglas leads the Chilliwack Chiefs’ business operations and manages operations at the Chilliwack Coliseum.
In addition to his role with the Chiefs, Barry serves as chair of the BCHL Marketing Committee and is a co-owner of Champagne & Lace Bridal. A proud community advocate, he spent over a decade coaching with Chilliwack Minor Baseball and is a founding board member of the Chilliwack Sports Hall of Fame.
Barry’s dedication has earned him multiple Marketer of the Year awards, most recently for the 2024–25 BCHL season. He was recognized as a Chilliwack Sport Community Hero in 2017 and was named an honorary Paul Harris Fellow by the Rotary Club of Chilliwack – Mt. Cheam in 2018.
When he’s not at the rink, Barry enjoys golfing, mountain biking, and spending time with his partner Robynn, their children, grandchildren, and goldendoodle, Scarlett.
Yasmin von Baranow- Media and Events Coordinator
Yasmin is the Media and Events Coordinator for the Chilliwack Chiefs. Born and raised in Brazil, she moved to Canada for her final year of high school and graduated from Chilliwack Secondary School. Yasmin first joined the Chiefs as a volunteer in 2021/2022.
With a passion for the technical side of live events, especially concerts, Yasmin pursued a Stagecraft and Event Technology Diploma at Douglas College. There, she was a stage manager and lighting head for the College productions.
Yasmin is eager to deepen her involvement with the Chilliwack community, meet fans, and enjoy great hockey. Outside the rink, she enjoys spending time with friends, working concerts, FaceTiming family and friends in Brazil, and playing guitar and piano.
Shane Tromp- Sales & Guest Experience Coordinator
Shane is the Chiefs Sales & Guest Experience Coordinator. He brings with him a diverse background which included roles in sales, marketing, customer service, and technology integration across multiple industries and sectors. He also happens to be a Red Seal Electrician, with over a decade of experience in the trade.
Shane grew up watching the Chiefs as an avid fan and enjoyed playing hockey himself in the local community for many years. He is a well-rounded sports enthusiast and committed Chilliwackian.
If he isn’t in the office or out speaking with clients, Shane can be found outdoors spending time in nature or in his local church praising God.
Shaelee Dombrowski- Administrative Assistant
Shaelee is the Administrative Assistant for the Chilliwack Chiefs. She joins us with 5 years of administrative experience and a passion for hockey and the sports world. Shaelee first joined the Chiefs as a volunteer in the 24/25 season and is excited to expand her involvement with the team and community.
Outside of the office, Shaelee is a full-time communications student at UFV. When she isn’t working, studying, or watching hockey, she loves to spend time with her friends and family, golf, play pickleball, and read.
Barb Hunt – Controller
Barb Hunt is the Controller for the Chilliwack Chiefs hockey club.
Barb worked in the automative industry for over 45 years in Alberta. Spending many of those years in the GM / Chevy family.
In 2014, Barb and her husband Ken moved from Okotoks to Agassiz and shortly after she joined the Chiefs team. Ken, a retired heavy duty mechanic, can often be found around the Coliseum tinkering on zambonis or helping the operations staff with any building projects.
When not at the rink, Barb and Ken love to spend time with their daughter Michelle and grandson Matthew.
