Barry Douglas – Governor & Vice-President, Business Operations
With over 25 years experience in media and junior hockey, Barry Douglas leads the Chilliwack Chiefs’ marketing and sales and oversees the front office.
A volunteer coach for Chilliwack Minor Baseball, founding board member for the Chilliwack Sports Hall of Fame, and part owner of Champagne & Lace, Barry is well-known for his service to the league and the community.
Barry has been honoured with multiple Marketer of the Year Awards. As well as a Chilliwack Sport Community Hero in 2017 and in 2018 the Rotary Club of Chilliwack – Mt. Cheam named him an honourary Paul Harris Fellow.
When he’s not in the rink or on the field, Barry enjoys golfing, and spending time with his partner Robynn along with their children, grandchildren, and goldendoodle Scarlett.
Hayley Ferguson – Communications Coordinator
Hayley Ferguson serves as the Communications Coordinator for the Chilliwack Chiefs.
Hayley first became involved with the Chiefs as a communications intern and in-stand host during the 2014-2016 seasons. After her internship with the club, Hayley moved to Toronto to attend the College of Sports Media where she studied Radio and Television Broadcasting. Since graduating she has worked at TSN as a Story Editor for SportsCentre as well as a Reporter and Anchor for Chat TV News in Medicine Hat, Alberta.
The BCHL has played a special part in Hayley’s life, growing up as a billet sister on Vancouver Island. Hayley is an avid IndyCar and Formula 1 fan and loves to explore the Fraser Valley with her puppy Indy.
Kaylea Burt – Office Administrator
Kaylea is the Chiefs Office Administrator. Hockey has always been a passion for Kaylea, who grew up playing for Chilliwack Minor Hockey. Prior to joining the front office, she was a longtime member of the Chiefs family as a billet sister for 5 seasons.
Kaylea comes to the Chiefs as a highly respected member of the Chilliwack retail community, including spending several years with Chiefs’ partner Cheam Source for Sports.
When not in the office, Kaylea loves to spend time with her beloved dog Spud and bunnies Rum and Honey as well as off-roading with friends.
Barb Hunt – Controller
Barb Hunt is the Controller for the Chilliwack Chiefs hockey club.
Barb worked in the automative industry for over 45 years in Alberta. Spending many of those years in the GM / Chevy family.
In 2014, Barb and her husband Ken moved from Okotoks to Agassiz and shortly after she joined the Chiefs team. Ken, a retired heavy duty mechanic, can often be found around the Coliseum tinkering on zambonis or helping the operations staff with any building projects.
When not at the rink, Barb and Ken love to spend time with their daughter Michelle and grandson Matthew.
