Kale Kane scored his second of the game at the 14 second mark of the first overtime period to give the Chiefs a 4-3 win in Coquitlam Friday night.
Kane also added an assist as the Chiefs improved to 37-12-4-3.
The game was a preview of a best round best of seven playoff series that will start Friday March 4th in Chilliwack.
Darien Craighead also scored twice and added an assist as the Chiefs upped their season record versus the Express to a perfect 6-0-0-0.
Matteo Esposito made 27 saves to earn his 15th victory of the season.
Both teams were scoreless in four power play opportunities.
The two teams meet again Saturday night at Prospera Centre in Chilliwack.
