Clippers 4 Chiefs 1

The Nanaimo Clippers scored the only four goals of the game’s final two period to erase a 1-0 deficit and defeat the visiting Chilliwack Chiefs 4-1 Wednesday night.

PJ Marrocco scored the lone goal of the opening period to give the Chiefs a 1-0 lead after one.

Goals by Cal Babych and Max Crozier put the Clippers in front 2-1 after forty minutes.

Tristan Crozier and Brady Lynn rounded out the scoring in the final period. Lynn’s goal was scored into an empty net.

Daniel Chenard made 26 saves for the Chiefs while Taz Burman made 27 saves to pick up the win for Nanaimo.

The loss drops the Chiefs to 26-24-3-3. The Chiefs are tied with the Surrey Eagles with 58 points. The Eagles have three games left, while the Chiefs have just two, both against Prince George at home this weekend. The Langley Rivermen currently hold down second place with 60 points and three games left.
