The Chilliwack Chiefs are proud to announce the commitment of Zach Rizzo for the 2023/24 BCHL season.
Rizzo, a 2004-born defenceman, will join the Chiefs after three seasons with Cushing Academy. This past season the Atlanta, Georgia, product netted 3 goals and 19 assists for 22 points in 31 games.
“We are really excited to welcome Zach to our organization. He is a mobile, 200-foot defender with a high compete level. He will help
our blueline tremendously in terms of exiting our zone and playing the attacking, fast style we want to bring every game,” said Associate Head Coach and Assistant General Manager Brad Rihela.
Rizzo joins the Chiefs with some familiarity of the roster. He played with current Chief, Mason Kesselring for two seasons at Cushing.
“I’m really excited to join the Chilliwack Chiefs. The organization’s high-level coaching staff, commitment to player development, and style of play made it an easy choice for me. In addition, I’ve heard great things about the community and am honored to become part of it,” said Rizzo.
Welcome to Chilliwack Zach!
