The Chilliwack Chiefs are proud to announce the signing of Caleb Elfering for the upcoming 2023/24 BCHL season.
Elfering, a 2004-born forward, has spent the last three seasons with the Northstar Christian Academy Knights. This past season with the 18U AAA team, he scored 33 goals and 39 assists for 72 points in 52 games.
“We’ve had our eye on Caleb for a couple of years now. We wanted a right handed shot, puck distributing player with the skill set that Caleb brings,” said Chiefs Head Coach and General Manager Brian Maloney.
Elfering was signed to the Wenatchee Wild and was called up for three regular season and two playoff games as an AP in 2022/23. The The 5’9, Richland, Washington product scored his first BCHL goal in the first period of his first game.
“With Caleb joining our team, he will bring his unique skill set that will not only help our team offensively, but will be a fan favourite because of what he can do with the puck. We look forward to getting him up here,” said Maloney.
Elfering was teammates with Chiefs defenseman Brian Morse at Northstar during the 2021/22 season.
“I’m pumped to join the Chiefs. Right after the first phone call with Coach Maloney you could tell Chilliwack brings a lot of energy and commitment to their team! The program and staff have always been known for moving players onto the next level, so I felt it was the best decision for me. Excited to get started,” said Elfering.
Welcome to the Chiefs family Caleb!
