The Chilliwack Chiefs have 25 players in camp as they head into their final week of exhibition hockey that will feature a home and home set with the Merritt Centennials beginning Friday at Prospera Centre.
Currently, the roster is comprised of 2 goalies, 7 defenseman and 16 forwards.
At forward, two new players, Kit Sitterly, a 20 year old who was a member of the Langley Chiefs last season and David Bondra, who was a member of the USHL’s Chicago Steel skated with the team last week.
Bondra must go through the transfer approval process prior to becoming a member of the Chiefs.
Head Coach and General Manager Harvey Smyl and his staff have to get down to 21 players prior to the season opener on September 24, “The final few decisions will be very difficult, there are some very good battles going on.”
