Chiefs edge Eagles in double overtime

Craig Puffer was the hero, scoring at the 1:43 of the second overtime to give the Chiefs a 2-1 win in Surrey Friday night. 

The win improves the Chiefs early season record to 3-0-0-0 while the Eagles drop to 0-2-0-1.

The game was scoreless for 52 minutes before Puffer scored his first of the night to give the Chiefs a 1-0 lead.

With goaltender Christian Short on the bench for an extra attacker the Eagles knotted the game at one with a goal from Ty Westgard with 68 seconds left in the third period.

Mitchell Datz made 26 saves to earn his second win of the season.

The Chiefs were 0/7 on the power play and 8/8 on the penalty kill
