The Chilliwack Chiefs are proud to announce the addition of 2002-born Thomas Messineo to their defensive group for the 2021-22 BCHL season. A native of Westwood, Massachusetts, Messineo comes to the Chiefs from the St.Sebastian’s program where he has recently served as team captain. Listed at 5’11, 190 pounds, Messineo uses a high level of IQ to make smart decisions all over the ice. Last season he registered 13 points in 28 games played, while being a steadying blue line presence for St.Seb’s.
“We are really happy that Thomas made the decision to commit to Chilliwack.” Said Chiefs Head Coach and GM Brian Maloney. “He is a player that Brad and I have been scouting for a couple of seasons now, and we know his 200-foot capabilities will be a great asset for our defensive unit next season.”
“I’m really looking forward to being in Chilliwack, learning from an amazing coaching staff and being part of a great organization. I’ve had friends who have played in Chilliwack and loved every minute of it.” Said the 18-year old blue liner before adding, “I am honoured to play with the Chiefs and honestly can’t wait to get started.”
Welcome to Chilliwack, Thomas!
