Chiefs Add Veteran Blueliner Patterson

The Chilliwack Chiefs are pleased to announce the addition of Trey Patterson to the roster.

Patterson, a 2003-born defenceman, joins the Chiefs after 148 career games in the WHL.

“We’re excited to add another member to our defence core. Adding Trey with his experience will make a difference immediately,” said Chiefs Head Coach and General Manager Brian Maloney. “He will help take on some of those big minutes our veteran guys have been logging back there. While also giving some of our new guys time to adjust to the league, who have been thrown into the fire over the last five games.”

Patterson, a 6’1 Calgary product, scored 15 points last season with his hometown Hitmen while being a solid presence on the blueline.

“Trey has great defensive habits, and after doing some digging on him, his character aligns with ours,” said Maloney.

For Patterson, he says he is excited to get started with his new teammates.

“I’m excited to be here and thankful for the opportunity! Looking forward to play for this great organization,” said Patterson.

Welcome to the Chiefs family, Trey!
