Chiefs Acquire Tyler Miller from Rivermen

The Chilliwack Chiefs have acquired 20 year old defenseman Tyler Miller from the Langley Rivermen in exchange for future considerations.

Miller was an assistant captain in Langley last season where he picked up 4 goals and 15 assists as well as 111 penalty minutes. The 6’3, 210 lb blue liner, who hails from Prince George BC, is excited to be reunited with his Head Coach. "Harv has been a great coach for me, he is based on hard work and players want to work hard for him. I can’t wait to play in Chilliwack, it sounds like a great place to play."

As for Harvey Smyl he feels Miller will be a real leader for the Chiefs. “Tyler has played four seasons in the BCHL and is one of those players who has a presence on and off of the ice. He knows what it takes to be a Chief, and is very difficult to play against. He also has the ability to chip in offensively from the back end.”

Miller has played 133 games in the BCHL recording 28 points and 246 penalty minutes. He will be in Chilliwack on Saturday at the Chiefs season ticket seat selection event
