The Chilliwack Chiefs are proud to announce the signing of Winnipeg product Austin Peters.
The 2004-born forward has played the past two years for the Portage Terriers of the MJHL. Last season he scored 62 points (20G, 42A) in 53 games, earning him a spot in the league’s top 10 scoring leaders.
“Austin is a player who will step in and contribute at a high level for us right away. He’s a veteran of junior hockey and will add great speed and experience to our forward group,” said Head Coach and GM Brian Maloney. “He has proven to produce at a high rate and we expect that to continue here. We are really excited to welcome Austin to our program.”
Peters says he is extremely excited to join the Chiefs family.
“I’ve heard nothing but positive things about the organization, and I look forward to helping contribute to the success of the team,” said Peters.
