Chiefs improve to 2-0-0-0 with 4-1 win in Salmon Arm

Kohen Olischefski scored once and added a pair of assists as the Chiefs improved their record to 2-0-0-0 with a 4-1 win in Salmon Arm Friday night.

The loss dropped the Silverbacks record to 0-3-0-0.

Jordan Kawaguchi, Connor McCarthy and Kale Kane also scored for the Chiefs who held period leads of 1-0 and 4-0.

McCarthy’s goal was his third of the season, all of which have been scored with the man advantage. Kane’s goal was also scored while the Chiefs had an extra body on the ice as the Chiefs clicked on two of five power plays.

Elijiah Barriga scored the lone goal for the home team.

Mark Sinclair made 21 saves to earn his second win of the young season.

Chilliwack returns to the ice tomorrow night when they meet the Langley Rivermen in their home opener at Prospera Centre.  Game time is 7pm.
