Chiefs Sign Forward Markuss Sieradzkis

Chilliwack, BC — The Chilliwack Chiefs are excited to announce the signing of forward Markuss Sieradzkis.

A right-handed shot, Sieradzkis can play both centre and wing, providing lineup flexibility as the Chiefs head into the second half of the season and toward the playoffs. He is expected to contribute offensively while also bringing a strong, competitive presence suited for heavy traffic and smaller ice surfaces within the BCHL.

Sieradzkis recently represented Latvia at the IIHF World Junior Championship, recording just under a point per game against elite international competition.

“He’s played meaningful games in pressure situations,” said Head Coach and General Manager Brian Maloney. “Any time you can add a player who’s been through that and understands what it takes to compete at a high level, it helps your room. I think that not only his style of play, but his personality should fit well with our group.”

“Joining this team is a huge opportunity for me,” said Sieradzkis. “The history, the fans, and the standards this organization holds itself to are exactly what I was looking for. I’m motivated to compete, improve every day, and help the team succeed.”

Welcome to Chilliwack, Markuss!
