Chilliwack, BC – The Chilliwack Chiefs have acquired the playing rights to goaltender Noah Tegelaar from the Brooks Bandits in exchange for the playing rights to Koby Francis and future considerations.
Tegelaar brings an impressive résumé to Chilliwack. Standing at 6’5″, the Ontario native netminder has established himself as one of the top goaltenders to come through the Junior ranks. Last season, he played in the OHL with one of the league’s premier organizations, continuing his development at the highest level of junior hockey.
During the 2024-25 season with the Collingwood Blues of the OJHL, Tegelaar was among the best goaltenders in Junior hockey, posting a remarkable 1.68 goals-against average, .940 save percentage, and 10 shutouts in 30 games. He also represented Canada East at the 2024 Junior A World Challenge, further showcasing his ability on the national stage.
“Noah is a veteran goalie who has consistently performed at a high level throughout his junior career,” said Head Coach & GM Brian Maloney. “He has the size, experience, and presence of a pro, and we’re excited to welcome him to Chilliwack.”
