Chilliwack, B.C. — The Chilliwack Chiefs have announced the trade of forward Vladimir Laptev to the Surrey Eagles for future considerations.
Chiefs Head Coach & General Manager Brian Maloney acknowledged the difficulty of the decision while emphasizing the opportunity ahead for Laptev.
“Vladimir is a great player who brings a lot of offensive creativity to the ice,” said Maloney. “At the end of the day, this is a business, and sometimes we have to move pieces around to make our team better, but also to put individuals in positions where they can thrive. This move allows Vlad to showcase his talents in a new environment, and we wish him nothing but the best moving forward.”
The Chiefs thank Vladimir for his time with the organization and wish him continued success with the Eagles.
