Chilliwack, B.C. — The Chilliwack Chiefs have traded defenceman Cole Hutchinson to the Trail Smoke Eaters in exchange for future considerations.
Head Coach and General Manager Brian Maloney spoke about the move and the opportunity ahead for Hutchinson.
“Cole is a great kid and comes from a wonderful family,” said Maloney. “Trail is a competitive group and this trade gives Cole a chance to step into a role they were looking to fill as a right-handed defenceman. We’re grateful for everything he brought to our team and wish him nothing but success moving forward.”
Hutchinson made an impact both on and off the ice during his time in Chilliwack, and his energy, work ethic, and personality will be missed around the rink.
The Chiefs organization would like to thank Cole for his contributions and wish him all the best in the next chapter of his career.
