The Chiefs saw their four game winning streak come to an end in Vernon Wednesday night as they dropped a 3-2 double overtime decision to the Vipers.

The teams exchanged power play goals in the first period. The Vipers opened the scoring, corralling a rebound in front of the Chiefs net and roofing a backhand behind Chiefs goaltender Mark Sinclair.

Jordan Kawaguchi notched his ninth of the season with the Chiefs on a two man advantage.

Justin Dixson’s first BCHL goal gave the Chiefs a 2-1 lead with just under four minutes gone in the second period.

After a failed drop pass in the offensive zone by the Chiefs, Ryan Brushett notched his third of the season to knot the game at two.

Five minutes of four on four overtime decided nothing.

In the second overtime, it was Niko Karamanis scoring his sixth of the season to give the Vipers the extra point.
