Eagles 3 Chiefs 1

Matthew Campese scored twice and added an assist to lead the Surrey Eagles to a 3-1 win over the visiting Chiefs Friday night.

It was the second straight win for the Eagles (13-10-2-1) over the Chiefs (12-10-2-2).

Surrey is now tied for second place in the mainland division with Prince George with 29 points. The Chiefs are one point back.

Tommy Lee scored the lone goal for the Chiefs.

Connor Sundquist also scored for the Eagles who got a 30 save performance from goaltender Daniel Davidson.

Daniel Chenard made 27 saves for the Chiefs who finished the night 0/6 on the power play and 5/7 on the penalty kill.

The Chiefs return to home ice Saturday night versus the Nanaimo Clippers.
