Clippers 3 Chiefs 2

Parker Colley’s ninth goal of the season at the 7:03 mark of the third period broke a 2-2 tie and stood up as the winner as the visiting Nanaimo Clippers defeated the Chiefs 3-2 at Prospera Centre Saturday night.

The loss was the fourth straight for the Chiefs who fell to 12-11-2-2 on the season.

The teams exchanged goals in each of the first two periods.

Bryan Allbee scored his seventh of the season on the power play to give the Chiefs a 1-0 at 5:43 of the first period.

The Clippers got a power play goal of their own from David Silye with 2:35 left in the first to tie the game.

Chilliwack took their second lead of the game when Tommy Lee scored his 12th of the season just under five minutes into the second period.

Brady Lynn’s goal three minutes later tied the game at two.

Both teams finished 1/5 on the power play.

Final shots favored the Chiefs 28-25.
