2018-19 Schedule Announced

Chilliwack hockey fans won’t soon forget the energy and excitement of last May’s RBC Cup final game, and the Chilliwack Chiefs Hockey Club anticipate extending that momentum going into the next season.

Following their National Championship victory, the Chiefs will raise their commemorative banner to the rafters of Prospera Centre prior to the start of their season home opener, presented by GT Hiring Solutions, versus Langley Rivermen on Saturday, September 15 at 7:00pm.

The Chiefs will begin their 2018-19 58 game regular season schedule with a pair of road games in Prince George on September 7 and 8.

Prior to the start of the season, the Chiefs will play four exhibition games. They’ll start things off on the road in Surrey on Wednesday, August 22.

They will make their annual trip to the Hope Recreation Centre where they will host the Coquitlam Express on Tuesday, August 28.

Friday, August 31 they will travel to Langley to take on the Rivermen before wrapping up the pre-season with a home game at Prospera Centre against the Rivermen on Saturday, September 1.

The third weekend of the regular season will once again see the annual Bauer BCHL Showcase held at Prospera Centre. All 17 BCHL teams will play two games over the course of three days beginning on Thursday, September 21. The full Showcase schedule is expected to be announced in the near future.

The Chiefs’ 2018-19 home schedule features 28 opportunities for fans of all ages to catch the excitement of fast, smart hockey in Chilliwack and to be a part of unique off-ice experiences behind-the-scenes.

Created this past season, the Jolly Miller Pub Captain’s Corner offers a casual, fun party deck atmosphere for groups of less than 25 people to get together and enjoy food and drinks while watching the game up close to the glass at ice-level. Sports teams, children’s birthday parties, and church youth groups loved the Captain’s Corner experience last season and many have pre-booked their game nights already.

In contrast, the box suites at Prospera Centre offer fans the chance to experience the excitement of a game while also providing the comfort of a private setting with well-appointed amenities including new smart TV’s and dedicated food and beverage service. Suites are a terrific place to entertain clients and business partners, reward employees for outstanding performance, and host holiday parties and other gatherings.

When tickets are booked as a group of 10+ in advance, the Chiefs include great added value in the experience like complimentary hats for those in attendance, and a choice between a Chiefs’ High-Five in the tunnel prior to the announcing of the starting line-up, a behind-the-scenes tour of the Chiefs Dressing Room, an exclusive Fanboni ride, or a meet-and-greet opportunity with coaches and players.

Join the Chiefs family for an epic season by visiting www.chilliwackchiefs.net or calling 604-392-4433. Season tickets are now on sale now for as low as $199. If you’re unable to commit to the full season, Five Star Motorsports Flex Packs are available in sets of six or ten tickets for your convenience.

Highlights of the 2018-19 season include the Season Home Opener – September 15, First Responders Appreciation Night – October 13, Chilliwack FC Night – November 3, Minor Hockey Night – November 24, Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation Ugly Sweater Auction Night – December 8, and Chilliwack Community Services Toque & Teddy Bear Toss Night – December 9.
